Construction and Geometry
The Backland 85 skis feature an 85 mm waist width, a measurement that effectively balances uphill push on transformed snow and downhill stability on open slopes. The profile is rocker at the tip and tail with a central camber section, ensuring float in fresh snow and precise grip on hard-snow turns. The Paulownia-Maple wood core keeps the weight down while offering a springy and lively response underfoot. Thanks to the Titanal Sandwich construction, the skis transmit forces evenly, reducing vibrations at high speeds.
