The Stelvio Life 85 is a ski touring ski built entirely in Bormio, with a 14-layer structure that combines selected materials to offer a concrete balance between lightness and resistance to off-piste stresses.
Construction and materials
The core is made of LI WOOD AIR, a lightweight wood that reduces the overall weight of the ski without compromising downhill stability. The torsional sock made of fiberglass ensures a precise torsional response, essential for control on variable snow. The thicker edges and the reinforced anti-scratch topsheet surface increase durability over time, a particularly relevant feature for those tackling rocky itineraries or abrasive spring snow.
Behavior and use
With a tip width of 85 mm, the Stelvio Life falls into the category of all-mountain ski touring skis: stable enough on groomed slopes to be used for daily ski tours, maneuverable enough on fresh snow to tackle off-piste descents without excessive effort.
