DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland 86 SL was created for those who tackle long, fast-paced ski touring days, where every gram saved on the ascent translates into available energy for the descent. With an 86mm width at the tip, the ski strikes the right balance between glide on the flats, maneuverability on steep slopes, and stability in the most variable alpine conditions.
Construction and materials
The structure is based on an ultralight construction with a wood core balanced by carbon fibers, which keeps torsion under control without adding weight. The result is a responsive but not twitchy ski, capable of transmitting forces precisely on both compact snow and uneven terrain.
