The Atomic Backland Carbon is the flagship ski touring boot in the Backland series, designed for those who compromise neither on the ascent nor the descent. With a DIN 110 flex index, it is the stiffest model in the range and is aimed at technical skiers looking for responsiveness and power transmission on challenging terrain.
Construction and materials
The structure utilizes Prolite technology with carbon fiber inserts, which keeps the total weight of the boot at only 1,190g per boot in size 27/27.5, without sacrificing the torsional rigidity necessary for control on high-end ski touring skis. The overlap between the cuff and shell ensures an anatomical and enveloping fit, reducing pressure points during long high-altitude outings.
