DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland UL is a ski touring helmet designed for those who compete in skimo races and undertake long traverses at high altitudes where every gram counts. The hybrid EPP In-Mold construction combines an outer polycarbonate shell fused directly with an inner EPP (expanded polypropylene) liner, resulting in a structure that is both rigid, lightweight, and capable of effectively absorbing impacts.
Triple Certification and Versatility
One of the most significant aspects of the Backland UL is its triple certification: the helmet is approved for alpine skiing and ski touring (EN 1077), for mountaineering (EN 12492), and for cycling (EN 1078). This versatility makes it suitable for use on mixed technical terrain, from ice axe climbs to bike approaches.
