DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland FR Pole is the result of a direct collaboration with freeskier Chris Benchetler, developed in parallel with the Backland FR skis to meet the specific demands of freeriding in an alpine environment. It is not a standard touring pole: it is designed for those who tackle steep slopes, deep snow, and technical off-piste terrain, where immediate responsiveness and control are needed without sacrificing lightness.
Construction and materials
The shaft is made of carbon, a choice that reduces overall weight while maintaining sufficient torsional rigidity to transmit precise impulses during uphill pushes and downhill rhythms. The design of the grip system is engineered to ensure a secure hold even with thick mountain gloves, with an adjustable strap that does not hinder wrist movement.
