The ATK Crest 8 Blue is a ski touring binding with a brake width of 86 mm, designed for those new to the world of ski touring or for those who prioritize weight savings without sacrificing structural solidity. It is the most accessible variant of the Crest range, with a maximum DIN value of 8, calibrated for lighter body weights and for outings on non-extreme terrain.
Construction and Technology
Despite its entry-level positioning, the binding adopts the same engineering solutions as the higher model. ATK's Easy Entry System® utilizes a specially designed geometry for the toe unit's engagement elements: step-in is intuitive even with stiff boots and in snow, reducing engagement errors in cold or fatigued conditions. The CNC-machined aluminum structure ensures low weight while maintaining the rigidity needed for effective impulse transmission during descents. The heel piece is height-adjustable to accommodate WTR and Tech certified boot soles.
