DESCRIPTION

The Tarantulace is the updated version of La Sportiva's historic Tarantula, a climbing shoe designed for those new to the sport or who regularly frequent the gym. The symmetrical and neutral profile fits a wide range of foot shapes, ensuring comfort even during prolonged sessions without sacrificing control on the wall.

Construction and materials

The upper is made of breathable synthetic leather, combined with an anti-sweat tongue that limits moisture build-up inside the shoe, maintaining a drier and more hygienic environment during intensive gym use. The closure system features traditional laces, allowing for precise and customized fit adjustment across the entire foot.

Sole and performance

  • 4 mm FriXion® Black sole with increased thickness for superior durability
  • P3 Midsole (Permanent Power Platform) that maintains the shoe's shape even after many hours of use
  • Flat profile suitable for slabs, easy routes, and vertical gym walls

The FriXion® Black rubber, with its more generous thickness compared to competition shoes, offers an effective compromise between grip and longevity, making it a solid choice for those who train continuously without wanting to replace their gear too often.
