DESCRIPTION

The La Sportiva Futura is a high-performance climbing shoe built around No-Edge technology, a design philosophy that eliminates the traditional rigid edge of the sole to bring the foot directly into contact with the rock. The result is a maximized contact surface on any type of hold: crimps, pockets, rounded volumes, and slabs are read more intuitively by the foot, providing a tactile sensitivity difficult to achieve with conventional constructions.

No-Edge Technology Applied

Unlike what was seen in the Speedster model, the No-Edge construction on the Futura has been reinterpreted to adapt to a wider range of use, while maintaining an asymmetrical profile and pronounced downturn designed for those climbing challenging routes on rock faces or technical boulders. The microfiber upper helps to contain the overall weight and maintain the shape over time, reducing stretching compared to natural leather versions.

  • No-Edge Construction: rounded sole edge for direct and natural contact with the rock
  • Vibram XS Grip2 Sole: soft compound with a very high friction coefficient, ideal on limestone and granite rock
  • Synthetic microfiber upper: low elongation and stable fit over time
  • Asymmetrical and downturned profile: concentrates force on the big toe for movements on small holds
  • Closure system with two Velcro straps for quick and precise adjustment

The Futura is aimed at climbers who are looking for a reactive shoe for high grades on rock faces, where immediate foot placement and precision make the difference between a successful move and a failed one.
