All SCARPA footwear uses European sizing, with the exception of ski boots.

• 1 full European size corresponds to 6.6 mm, or 0.26 inches.
• 1 full US size corresponds to 8.4 mm, or 0.33 inches.
• European sizes allow for a more precise fit suitable for the intended use.
• Only ski mountaineering and telemark boots use MONDOPOINT sizing.

For mountaineering boots, choosing a half size larger may be useful depending on the desired fit.

For climbing shoes, choosing a smaller size, even by about one full size, depends on the desired fit. In other footwear, it is necessary to leave some space between the toes and the tip, as this is needed during walking. In climbing shoes, however, it is preferable to reduce empty spaces to increase sensitivity and precision during climbing.

All SCARPA ski mountaineering and telemark boots are measured using the Mondo system. SCARPA ski boots use half sizes: this means that a half size shares the same shell length as the next full size, while the inner boots are made for each half size.

For example, a size 25.5 and a 26.0 have the same shell size, but their respective inner boots are pre-formed for the half size. Some skiers may choose up to one full Mondo size smaller, based on their personal preferences.
