DESCRIPTION
The Verto A5 was born from a direct collaboration with The North Face climbing team athletes, with the goal of creating an approach shoe that doesn't compromise between lightness and durability. The result is a women's shoe designed for those who tackle technical approaches on mixed terrain, where every gram counts and grip is non-negotiable.
Construction and materials
The suede upper has been tested directly by athletes in the field: it offers good durability against abrasives typical of rock contact, while maintaining a low weight. The internal medial support stabilizes the arch of the foot during traverses on unstable terrain, reducing fatigue on long approaches. The fit follows the natural shape of the female foot for a precise fit without pressure points.
Sole and rock performance
The central technical point is the full-length Vibram® Megagrip sole, one of the most common high-friction compounds in technical mountaineering: it guarantees reliable grip on both dry rock and wet or dusty surfaces. This combination makes it suitable not only for the approach itself, but also for easy scrambling sections where the shoe must work in opposition and smearing.
