DESCRIPTION
Petzl Sm'D is a compact and lightweight D-shaped locking carabiner, designed for those seeking a versatile tool suitable for numerous use cases: connecting a belay system, pulleys, lanyard ends, and much more.
The D shape ensures efficiency regardless of the orientation and provides good handling. The H-shaped cross-section further improves grip, even when wearing gloves, making it practical in difficult conditions.
- Keylock system: prevents accidental snagging of the carabiner
- Dedicated hole: allows for the attachment of a TIBLOC or MICRO TRAXION using a cord, making them captive
The Sm'D is available in two locking system versions:
- SCREW-LOCK: an easy-to-open system that can be locked or unlocked as needed. A red visual indicator signals when the carabiner is unlocked. Ideal for harsh environments where mud or ice could jam an automatic locking system.
- TWIST-LOCK: designed for situations where speed of opening is essential, such as at the end of a lanyard or for connecting a GRIGRI to the harness.
