DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Zero Friend 0.2 is a 4-cam climbing friend specifically designed to protect very narrow cracks, pockets, and the characteristic scars left by pitons on high-difficulty routes. Its particularly compact head makes it a reliable tool in those sections of the wall where traditional friends cannot get a foothold.
Technical Construction
The high-friction cams ensure a solid grip even on wet or loose rock, while the flexible stem absorbs rope movements, reducing the risk of leverage and the friend "walking" in the crack. The stem protection spring increases its durability over time, protecting the most stressed area during falls. The floating trigger mechanism with ergonomic design allows for insertion and removal of the device even in awkward positions, with one hand.
