DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Friend 0.3 is a new generation double-axle camming device, designed for climbers looking for maximum performance from their rack.
This updated version of the iconic Friend introduces significant technical improvements over the previous generation:
- 13.75° cam angle for optimal holding power
- Hollow double axle and milled lobes for maximum holding capacity and reduced chances of getting stuck
- Flow Cord with seamless core-sheath construction, for smooth, snag-free extension
- Size 0.3 with double axle, now available in the range
The most distinctive feature of the Friend is the combination of the thumbloop and the extendable sling. This solution reduces the need for additional quickdraws, minimizes rope drag, and decreases the potential for the device to walk in the crack.

Nylon and UHMWPE outer sheath, developed to resist cuts and abrasion, with a UHMWPE core for mechanical resistance.
Red wear indicator integrated into the core, signaling when it's time to replace the sling.
Certified lifespan of 14 years: resistant to UV rays, humidity, and freeze/thaw stress (10 years of use + 4 years of proper storage).

Milled and polished cam lobes: soft, untreated aluminum with 8–10% superior grip compared to anodized surfaces.
