BLACK DIAMOND Stopper #11 - Violet is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Stopper #11 is an aluminum alloy passive nut designed for protection in trad climbing and big wall. A direct descendant of the first chocks that marked the birth of clean climbing, this piece of equipment still represents one of the fundamental tools in every traditional rack.
Geometry and Placement Performance
The double-tapered profile is the distinctive technical element of this series: it allows for stable placements not only in classic parallel cracks, but also in flared openings and shallow cracks, where a simple-geometry nut would tend to rotate or slip out. The #11 covers a medium-large size range, suitable for protecting moves in wider crack fissures where smaller nuts do not find a solid hold.
Materials and Finish
- Body in anodized aluminum alloy, which ensures corrosion resistance and long-term durability
- The color-coded anodization allows for quick size identification during placement or retrieval of protection
- Cable made of solid steel material for direct load transmission to the carabiner
The Stopper #11 is typically used in larger cracks, both in crags and in the mountains, where it provides a reliable anchor with minimal added weight to the rack. The combination of studied geometry and lightweight material makes it a piece difficult to exclude from any trad setup.
