DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Daisy Chain Dyneema is a 10.5 mm Dyneema® multi-loop sling designed for use in crag and big wall climbing as an adjustable connection system between harness and anchor. Its total length of 120 cm offers a wide adjustment range, suitable for most belay and self-belay situations.
Construction and technical details
The Dyneema® material ensures low weight despite the high longitudinal strength of the complete daisy chain. The bottom loop is twisted, a design solution that facilitates clean and direct attachment to the harness, avoiding unwanted twisting during use. The seams separating the individual loops have a breaking strength of only 3 kN: this value is not a defect, but a functional feature that allows length adjustment loop by loop.
Essential safety warning
It is absolutely forbidden to connect two adjacent loops to the same carabiner: in the event of failure of the intermediate seam, the load would be transferred to the isolated loop and the carabiner could open and detach, with potentially fatal consequences. The daisy chain must be used with one single loop at a time, chosen based on the distance from the anchor. It is an effective tool for quick belay management, provided its correct use is understood.
