DESCRIPTION
The BEAL Joker Soft 9.1mm Unicore DRY Cover is a climbing rope with a rare feature in the industry: UIAA triple certification as a single, half, and twin rope. This versatility makes it a suitable tool for very different contexts, from classic mountaineering to mixed climbing, from ice to long ridge traverses.
Technology and construction
The 9.1 mm diameter represents a carefully balanced point between mass and dynamic performance. BEAL's Unicore technology welds the core and sheath into a single structural block, eliminating relative slippage between the two components: the result is a rope that maintains its shock-absorbing properties even after intensive use or in the event of partial damage to the sheath. The DRY Cover treatment waterproofs the outer sheath, reducing water absorption and consequent weight gain in snow, rain, or ice conditions. The Soft version ensures superior handling, with smooth passage through protection even with gloves.
