The BEAL Gully 7.3mm is an ice climbing and technical mountaineering rope that combines an extremely small diameter with dual use certification. With its 7.3mm diameter and 60-meter length, it represents one of the lightest solutions available for those operating in alpine and glacial environments.
Certifications and Dynamic Performance
The Gully is certified as both a half (½) rope and a twin (∞) rope, offering concrete versatility for use on ice, mixed routes, and multi-pitch alpine climbs. The low impact force reduces the stress transmitted to the belayer and protection in the event of a fall, a critical factor when working with ice screws or natural anchors.
Construction Technologies
- UNICORE: The BEAL production process that thermally bonds the sheath to the core, eliminating relative slippage between the two layers. The result is a rope that maintains its dynamic characteristics even after intense use or a fall.
- GOLDEN DRY: Water-repellent treatment applied to both the core and the sheath. In conditions of snow, ice, and intense humidity, the rope does not absorb water, preventing stiffening and the consequent increase in weight during use.
