DESCRIPTION
The PETZL Rollclip A Triact-Lock is a pulley-carabiner that combines the function of an anchor point and a steerable pulley in a single component, designed for rescue applications, rope systems, and maneuvering on equipped via ferratas. Its distinguishing feature compared to traditional pulleys is the position of the gate opening on the pulley side: this design detail allows the rope to be inserted into the pulley even when the carabiner is already connected to the anchor, without having to dismantle the system.
Locking System and Safety
The Triact-Lock version features an automatic triple-action locking system: the sleeve closes automatically and requires three sequential movements to open, reducing the risk of accidental openings in situations of load or dynamic work. The Rollclip A is compatible with the CAPTIV bar, an optional accessory that keeps the carabiner correctly oriented on the anchor point, ensuring that stress is always applied along the major axis and not laterally on the spine — a critical condition for maintaining the declared strength values.
