The Petzl Simple Pulley is an original replacement part designed for the SIMPLE descender, one of the most widely used tools in rope access and rescue systems. Replacing a worn pulley instead of discarding the entire device means significantly extending the descender's operational life, reducing maintenance costs, and limiting material waste.
Compatibility and Technical Specifications
The component is compatible with two versions of the SIMPLE descender, but with specific differences to consider:
- With the SIMPLE D004AA00 model: it replaces both the upper pulley and the lower pulley
- With the SIMPLE D04 model: it is compatible exclusively with the lower pulley
This distinction is crucial when ordering: checking your descender's code before purchase avoids assembly errors that could compromise the device's functionality.
When and Why to Replace It
