DESCRIPTION
ASAP® is Petzl's mobile rope fall arrester, designed for workers at height who require continuous protection while moving on ropes during their daily activities.
During normal use, the device moves freely along the rope — both up and down — without requiring any intervention from the user. In the event of a fall or uncontrolled descent at a speed greater than two meters per second, ASAP® automatically locks onto the rope and arrests the fall.
Safety features:
- Arrests falls and uncontrolled descents at speeds greater than two meters per second
- Locks onto the rope even if the device is grabbed during the fall
- Works on vertical, horizontal, or inclined ropes
- Compatible with ropes from 10 to 13 mm in diameter
- Effective regardless of rope condition — even frozen or muddy — thanks to the toothed wheel
Installation and use:
- Easily installed and removed at any point on the rope
- Slides along the rope without any manual intervention
- Can be used as a primary safety device
ASAP® must be used in conjunction with an energy absorber. Depending on the desired working distance from the rope, you can choose between:
- ASAP'SORBER 20 or 40 — for use with one person up to 140 kg
- ASAP'SORBER AXESS — for rescue operations with two people, up to 250 kg
