DESCRIPTION
Mammut Alugator Pro Light Hoe is a professional avalanche shovel designed for ski touring and freeriding, where speed of excavation can be decisive in an emergency situation.
The blade is made of lightweight, high-performance aluminum with an anti-tilt geometry that prevents the shovel from twisting under intense strain. This ensures full control while digging in packed or wet snow, even in the most difficult conditions.
The ergonomic D-grip handle guarantees a secure hold even with thick mountaineering gloves, transmitting force directly to the blade without wasting energy.
One of the most significant technical features is the variable shaft positioning system, which allows the handle to be locked at 90° to the blade, transforming the shovel into a true hoe. This configuration is particularly useful for:
- Removing hard snow or surface ice
- Working in tight spaces where the classic shoveling motion is not feasible
- Avalanche search and rescue operations
The modular construction allows for compact transport inside a backpack. Thanks to the balance between lightness and structural strength, the Alugator Pro Light Hoe performs reliably both during ski touring excursions and in rescue operations.
