DESCRIPTION
The Edelrid Drift is an ultralight ice axe designed for ski mountaineers and climbers who want to eliminate every unnecessary gram from their backpack. It is the ideal choice for trips where the ice axe is carried as a safety measure without being used continuously.
Weighing only 250g and with a compact length of 45cm, it stores easily in a backpack without taking up much space. All sharp edges have been rounded to prevent damage during transport.
The anodized and sandblasted aluminum shaft has a slightly curved ergonomic shape that ensures a comfortable and secure grip. Grooves on the lower part of the shaft further improve grip in challenging situations.
The spike-like tip features an integrated cap that prevents snow from entering the shaft. The 4mm steel pick, corrosion-resistant, penetrates hard snow and ice easily. Large openings on the pick and adze further contribute to reducing the overall weight.
