FIXE's canyoning harness protector is a specific accessory for those who practice activities in aquatic environments and on wet rock, where mechanical stresses on the harness are particularly intense. Made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), the protector leverages the properties of this material—high flexibility, abrasion resistance, and impermeability—to shield the areas of the harness most prone to wear.
Construction and materials
Sealed seams prevent water infiltration into the protector, avoiding moisture accumulation that could, over time, compromise the integrity of the TPU or the underlying harness structure. The external surface offers superior friction resistance compared to standard harness fabric, significantly reducing wear caused by continuous rubbing on rock walls, slides, and fixed anchors typical of canyoning.
Practical application
It is applied directly to the leg loops and waistbelt of the harness in the most critical contact areas, extending the equipment's lifespan under intensive use conditions.
