DESCRIPTION
DYNAFIT's Speed Dryarn® shorts are technical underwear built around a single high-performance fiber: Dryarn®, the lightest microfiber polypropylene among textile fibers used in sportswear. Compared to polyester, it offers superior breathability; compared to merino wool, it guarantees better residual thermal insulation; and it beats both in terms of weight — characteristics that make it a precise, not generic, choice.
Construction and Material
The construction is seamless, eliminating friction points in areas most stressed during running or climbing. Dryarn® actively wicks moisture outwards due to its hydrophobic nature: it does not absorb water, does not retain sweat in contact with the skin, and dries very quickly compared to traditional fibers. The result is a constant dry feeling even under prolonged exertion.
Who it's for and When to Use It
These shorts are designed as a first base layer for high-intensity, short-duration activities — trail running, ski mountaineering, fast hiking — where equipment weight matters and body microclimate management makes a difference.
