DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Wildwire Quickdraw 10 cm is a sport climbing quickdraw built around the Wildwire carabiner, one of the most popular in the English brand's range. The updated version introduces an I-Beam construction that distributes material where it's truly needed, achieving an optimal balance between strength and weight reduction.
Construction and Technology
The carabiner is hot-forged, a technique that aligns the crystalline structure of the aluminum along the lines of force, resulting in a stronger and more reliable body compared to die-casting. The profile has been redesigned from the previous generation: the geometry is cleaner and the nose has been slimmed down to facilitate quick and smooth rope insertion, even with one hand and in awkward positions on the wall. The red color identifies the rope-side carabiner, making it easier to orient the quickdraw during fast clipping.
