DESCRIPTION
The Totem Cam 1.00 is a four-cam friend designed for traditional climbing, built around the patented Direct Loading Camming Device (DLCD) system. This mechanism transfers the load directly to the cam axle instead of the stem, significantly improving its holding capacity in cracks compared to conventional designs.
Anchoring system and geometry
The cam profile has been developed with an optimized friction angle that ensures stability even in irregular cracks or partially retracted placements. The rigid high-strength aluminum alloy stem reduces the risk of camshaft failure in dynamic loading situations, while the single stainless steel wire trigger allows precise operation even with one hand or while wearing gloves.
