DESCRIPTION
The SALEWA Puez Sun Pullover is an ultra-light sun garment designed for mountain activities in warm seasons, when UV protection becomes as much a priority as managing body heat. Weighing only 120 grams, it slips on and off without taking up space in your backpack, and is also useful as a light thermal layer during breaks at altitude.
Fabric and sun protection
The pullover is made of soft, quick-drying polyester, with a breathable construction that quickly wicks away sweat during ascents. The UPF 50+ certification guarantees that the fabric blocks over 98% of ultraviolet radiation, effectively protecting exposed areas of the torso and arms during long sun exposure typical of summer outings at altitude.
Construction details
- Shaped hood with elasticated hem, for a snug fit that doesn't slip with movement
- Thumb loops on the sleeves, extending coverage to the back of the hand and preventing sleeves from riding up
- Low weight of 120 g, ideal for packability in a trekking or mountaineering backpack
