DESCRIPTION
The SALEWA Aria is a climbing helmet with a hybrid structure that combines a recycled polycarbonate (PC) outer shell with an injection-mmolded EPP foam inner core. This combination ensures high impact absorption while keeping weight to a minimum: a reliable technical solution for sport routes, crag climbing, or mountaineering.
Construction and Protection
Injection-molded EPP (expanded polypropylene) foam is known for its ability to efficiently absorb energy even after repeated impacts, unlike traditional EPS which degrades after the first impact. The recycled PC shell contributes to the helmet's structural rigidity without adding weight, while the open design with large ventilation openings promotes air circulation during climbs, reducing overheating during intense sessions.
