DESCRIPTION
The PETZL Spirit with a bent gate is a screw-lock carabiner considered a benchmark in sport climbing and route work. The bent gate shape facilitates one-handed opening during quickdraw clipping, reducing errors and improving fluidity of movement even in situations of fatigue or stress.
Technology and construction
The Keylock system eliminates the nose on the opposite side of the gate, so the carabiner does not unintentionally snag on quickdraw slings or protection rings during clipping and unclipping operations. A concrete difference on the wall, where every second counts. The asymmetrical I-beam shape distributes the load along the main axis, optimizing the strength-to-weight ratio.
