DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Rumba is an 8mm half rope designed for those who alternate between rock climbing, mountaineering, and ice climbing without wanting to change their gear. Its reduced diameter makes it lightweight and easy to handle during rappels on long multi-pitch routes, where weight and volume in the backpack make a difference.
Technical Features
The rope features a reinforced sheath with high abrasion resistance, essential when the rope runs over sharp edges or through cracks. The Duratec Dry hydrophobic treatment is applied to both the core and the sheath: it reduces water absorption in case of rain, snow, or ice, maintaining the rope's dynamic properties even in wet conditions. The 60-meter length covers most alpine routes and long rock climbs.
