DESCRIPTION
The PETZL Nano Traxion is a progress capture pulley designed for rescue applications, progress on fixed ropes, and hauling systems in situations requiring maximum efficiency with minimal weight. At just 53 grams, it is one of the lightest progress capture pulleys on the market, intended for those who cannot afford superfluous grams on the wall or in emergency operations.
Technical Performance
At the heart of the system are sealed ball bearings, which guarantee an efficiency of 91%: a concrete figure that translates into real force transmitted during traction maneuvers, reducing fatigue and increasing the effectiveness of the hauling system. The pulley is compatible with ropes from 8 to 11 mm in diameter.
Design and Versatility of Use
- The opening side plate allows the rope to be inserted mid-rope, without having to thread it through the free end.
- The integrated progress capture mechanism allows for rapid and reliable construction of self-locking hauling systems.
- The dedicated hole on the pulley allows a Sm'D carabiner to be connected via a cord, keeping the components together and ready for use.
- Its compact structure also makes it ideal for progress on fixed ropes in mountaineering and big wall climbing.
The stated breaking strength is 4 kN on the progress capture mechanism and 20 kN on the main structure. A pulley suitable for both technical rescue and advanced mountaineering use, where every gram saved in equipment translates into energy available for the ascent.
