DESCRIPTION
PETZL Irvis Hybrid crampons are designed for those tackling glacial traverses and demanding ski touring trips who don't want to forgo the ability to tackle icy sections. The hybrid construction is at the heart of the design: the front part is made of steel, a material that ensures solidity and lasting sharpness of the front points for progression on ice, while the rear part is made of aluminum to keep the overall weight down where stresses are lower.
Construction and binding system
The flexible connecting system between the two sections adapts the crampons to soles with different degrees of rigidity, making them compatible with both ski touring boots and semi-rigid approach shoes. The automatic/automatic or manual binding system allows the crampons to be adapted to different types of boots, ensuring a secure fit even with rubber soles.
