The LEKI Makalu FX Carbon is a telescopic trekking pole built around a carbon core, a material that provides a superior stiffness-to-weight ratio compared to aluminum and reduces fatigue on long distances. The telescopic structure with the FX Carbon Speed Lock system allows for quick, tool-free length adjustment, with a lever mechanism that securely locks the shaft even in wet or muddy conditions.
Grip and field comfort
The pole features the new Aergon Air grip, specifically designed for trekking and re-optimized in terms of ergonomics and control compared to previous generations. The grip's hollow-core technology combines lightness with large contact surfaces, distributing pressure on the palm during prolonged descents and reducing wrist fatigue in technical sections.
