DESCRIPTION
The KONG Ferrata Auto Block is a lightweight aluminum alloy carabiner designed for use on via ferratas and professional applications, where secure closure and ease of handling, even with gloves, are non-negotiable requirements.
Closure System and Geometry
The 3-movement Auto Block gate ensures automatic locking of the gate upon release, eliminating the risk of accidental opening during progression. The Keylock system on the nose of the gate removes the traditional hook, drastically reducing unintentional snagging on webbing, slings, and anchor points. The specially designed body shape offers a large 26 mm opening, among the widest in its category, which facilitates quick attachment to lanyards, tethers, and fixed points, even when fatigued or in awkward positions.
