The FIXE Alien X represents the sixth generation of one of the most iconic micro-cams in climbing history, originating in Colorado in 1986 with the first patent filed. The #3/8 size is designed for small cracks and stands out for a technical balance between lightness and holding power, making it a reliable tool for protecting delicate sections on granite, sandstone, and limestone.
Technology and materials
The cams feature the new X-Grip texture, a cross-hatched knurled surface that significantly increases friction upon contact with the rock, reducing the risk of slipping even on smooth or slightly damp walls. The body is made of high-strength aluminum alloy, processed with superior precision finishes compared to previous generations. The flexible braided steel stem absorbs lateral movements, maintaining the alignment of the cams during placement and in case of a fall.
