The CONTOUR protective strip is an essential accessory for ski mountaineering hot-melt skins: it protects the adhesive layer from dust, dirt, and snow residue during transport and storage, preserving its effectiveness over time.
Technical features
The strip is designed for skins up to 140 mm wide and is sold in a 2-piece, 1-meter each format, for a total coverage of 2 linear meters—sufficient to protect a pair of standard ski mountaineering skins. The protective skin is folded over both sides of the ski skin, ensuring complete and symmetrical coverage of the adhesive.
Use and compatibility
Thanks to its structure, the strip greatly facilitates the separation of hot-melt skins, reducing the risk of damaging the adhesive layer when opening them in intense cold or with gloves on. It is compatible with CONTOUR hot-melt skins and is a practical solution for those who want to extend the life of the adhesive between outings, preventing it from degrading due to contamination or repeated contact with unprotected surfaces.
