Material and performance
The pile is made of pure mohair, the natural fibre that offers the fastest glide available on the ski mountaineering skin market. Compared to synthetic blends, mohair guarantees a significantly lower flat-ground gliding resistance, a decisive factor on gentle slopes and descents with skins where every tenth of a second counts. Uphill grip remains effective on regular slopes, but the choice of pure mohair implies awareness: this material is optimal on transformed and compact snow, less performing on heavy wet snow.
