DESCRIPTION
The Castelli Espresso 2 Bibshort is the direct evolution of one of the most appreciated cycling shorts in the Castelli range, born from the concrete need to improve what already worked well. It's not just an aesthetic restyling, but a refinement of fit, materials, and comfort that you'll feel in the saddle after the very first ride.
Construction and Materials
The main fabric is Progetto X2, a highly elastic technical jersey that combines muscle compression and freedom of movement while pedaling. The bib straps use Body2, an ultra-thin mesh material that reduces overall weight and improves breathability in the torso area, without creating uncomfortable pressure on the shoulders during long rides. The legs are finished with silicone grippers that keep the shorts in place without constricting.
Chamois and Fit
The integrated chamois is the Progetto X2 Seat Pad, developed to meet the needs of frequent riders, ensuring cushioning and friction reduction in the saddle contact areas. The fit has been revised compared to the previous version with a slightly updated race fit, tighter on the thigh to reduce aerodynamic drag without compromising comfort.
