DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Atom Belay Lock is an HMS screw-gate carabiner specifically designed for belaying with a Munter hitch and rappelling. Its optimized geometry makes it reliable for both sport climbing and multi-pitch alpine routes.
Construction and Safety
The high-strength aluminum body integrates an internal anti-cross-loading lever, a technical detail that reduces the risk of incorrect carabiner positioning during belaying. The nose features SphereLock geometry, designed to prevent accidental gate snagging against the rock face or other gear — one of the most common critical points in traditional belay carabiners. The closure is managed by a lightweight screw gate, easy to operate even with one hand or while wearing gloves.
