DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Atom 3lock is an HMS carabiner with a trilock gate, designed for belaying with a Munter hitch and for anchor points. Its automatic locking mechanism requires three distinct and sequential actions—slide, twist, and push—before the gate can be opened, effectively eliminating the risk of accidental opening on the rock face.
Geometry and locking system
The gate incorporates SphereLock technology, which adopts a spherical geometry on the nose of the carabiner: this shape ensures a more secure closure and precise alignment even after repeated opening and closing cycles, reducing component wear. The wide gate opening facilitates rope passage during belaying and rappelling maneuvers, even with gloves on or in cold conditions.
