The Black Diamond Fineline Stretch Shell is a technical shell designed for mountaineering and rock and ice climbing, where freedom of movement is not an option but a necessity. Unlike many rigid hard shells, this jacket combines weather protection and mechanical flexibility, adapting to body movements without resistance.
Construction and Materials
The main fabric is a stretch nylon with DWR treatment that repels light rain and snow, keeping the shell dry during short alpine outings or in the variable weather conditions typical at altitude. The construction is designed for a slim and athletic fit, compatible with wearing a harness without the fabric bunching up at the waist or thighs.
