DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond ATC-Guide is a plate-style belay/rappel device designed for multi-pitch climbing, capable of operating in both standard dynamic mode and guide mode for direct belaying from the anchor. This dual functionality makes it a comprehensive tool for those undertaking alpine routes and long climbs in varying rock environments.
Technical Specifications
- Compatible with ropes from 7.7 mm to 11 mm, suitable for single, half, and twin ropes
- Guide mode allows belaying the second (or two seconds simultaneously) directly from the anchor, with assisted locking in case of a fall
- The additional hole with a release slot allows lowering the second even under load, without having to abandon the belay station
- Constructed from aluminum to keep weight down without sacrificing strength
