The BEAL ICE Line 8.1mm is a dynamic ice and mixed climbing rope designed for those seeking the ultimate in lightweight and rope handling on technical terrain. With a diameter of just 8.1 mm and a length of 60 meters, it represents a refined tool for ice climbing and icefalls.
Technical Features
The ICE Line can be used as both a half rope and a twin rope, combining the functional versatility of both categories in a single tool. The very low impact force reduces stress on protection, harness, and body in the event of a fall, a particularly valuable feature on ice where protection intrinsically holds less securely than on rock.
BEAL has integrated UNICORE technology, which bonds the sheath to the core along the entire length of the rope. This system eliminates the risk of sheath slippage—a critical phenomenon when rappelling or using ascenders—and increases the overall durability of the rope even after intensive use.
