DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland Expert is a ski touring boot designed for those who tackle long ascents without sacrificing a technical and controlled descent. Built with a two-piece bi-component polyurethane construction, it combines a rigid outer shell with a more flexible cuff that promotes freedom of movement during ascents, reducing muscle fatigue on challenging elevation gains.
Technical Features
- The walk mode with 53° rotation ensures a natural and fluid stride during ascent, comparable to that of a lightweight hiking boot.
- The flex index 110 ensures precise response on descents on compact snow and steep slopes, without sacrificing progressive support.
- The Grilamid sole with Michelin profile offers reliable grip on both snow and mixed rocky terrain, essential on ridge sections or approaches.
- The closing system with three aluminum buckles and a micrometric cuff strap allows for precise adjustment and a stable fit even with thick ski touring socks.
- The weight starting from approximately 1,450 g per boot (size 26.5) places it in the intermediate range, ideal for those who do not want to give up the structural robustness of the Expert model.
