DESCRIPTION
The SCARPA 4-Quattro SL was born from the need for a single boot capable of covering two distinct worlds: groomed slopes and uphill off-piste. With a weight of approximately 1,490 g per boot (size 27), it positions itself as the lightest hybrid ski mountaineering boot in its compatibility category, offering a concrete solution for those who do not want to sacrifice alpine performance when descending, nor lightness when ascending.
Construction and compatibility
The structure is made of high-rigidity Grilamid, a technical polyamide that guarantees power transmission downhill while maintaining a low weight. The sole with the GripWalk system ensures compatibility with both alpine ski bindings (GripWalk/MN standard) and all major tech ski mountaineering bindings, eliminating the need for two distinct pairs of boots. The thermoformable liner anatomically adapts to the foot, reducing pressure points during long outings.
Mobility and uphill performance
- Walk mode with ample freedom of cuff movement for natural walking on mixed terrain
- Flex index 100, balanced between downhill control and comfort in progression
- Closure with 4 aluminum buckles and integrated gaiter for quick and secure donning
