The SALEWA Piuma 3.0 represents the evolution of the ultralight mountaineering helmet from the South Tyrolean brand, designed for those who don't want to compromise on either protection or performance at high altitudes. The low-profile in-mould construction integrates the inner layer of expanded polystyrene foam (EPS) with the outer polycarbonate shell in a single process, resulting in a rigid, impact-resistant structure that is surprisingly light.

The low-profile geometry is not just aesthetic: it reduces the overall mass, bringing the weight to record-breaking values for its category, without compromising shock absorption capacity. The CE EN 12492 (mountaineering) certification guarantees protection standards suitable for demanding alpine scenarios, from sport climbing to glacier ascents.
