DESCRIPTION
The SALEWA Ortles Polarlite is a mountaineering and winter outdoor activity glove specifically designed for the female hand, built around a combination of technical materials that balance warmth, mobility, and wear resistance.
Construction and materials
The main body is made of Polarlite fleece integrated with wool, a fiber that maintains its insulating properties even in humid conditions. Areas subject to greater friction are reinforced with CORDURA® fabric, known for its abrasion resistance in technical contexts such as rock or ice climbing. The interior is brushed to increase the feeling of softness against the skin and improve thermal retention by trapping air.
Ergonomics and fit
- 4-way stretch to follow every hand movement without restrictions
- Pre-shaped fingers to match the hand's anatomy, reducing fatigue during prolonged use
- Short, elasticated cuff that adapts to the wrist and seals in warmth without restricting freedom of movement
Thanks to its thin and flexible construction, the glove can be used as a mid-layer under an over-glove during more demanding winter excursions, or as a standalone solution during transitions or hikes in cool temperatures.
