The SALEWA Ortles NXT 25L is an alpine and high-altitude trekking backpack designed for those tackling severe mountain environments where durability and weight truly make a difference. With a capacity of 25 liters, it falls into the category of technical daypacks for challenging terrain.
Construction and materials
The external structure combines two high-performance fabrics: Challenge ULTRA™ 100X, an ultralight material with exceptional abrasion and tear resistance, and 330D high-tenacity Robic® nylon, already proven on technical backpacks in real alpine conditions. The combination of these two fabrics allows reinforcements to be distributed where they are truly needed, reducing overall weight without compromising durability in the most stressed areas — base, shoulder straps, and attachment points.
Ideal use and context
This backpack meets the needs of those climbing glaciers, traversing exposed ridges, or undertaking alpine traverses in variable conditions. The 25-liter capacity is sufficient for a technical day trip with climbing gear or layered clothing, without excessive bulk.
