The SALEWA Ortles Polarlite are winter mountaineering gloves built around a hybrid Polarlite wool-blend fleece, a fabric that combines the softness of natural wool with the thermal performance of synthetic fleece. The structure is reinforced with Cordura® in high-wear areas, ensuring abrasion resistance without compromising flexibility during rock or ice maneuvers.
Construction and materials
The Chamude® synthetic leather palm ensures a reliable grip on tools, ropes, and crampons, even in wet conditions. The interior is finished with a brushed insulating layer that improves heat retention and provides a pleasant feel against the skin. The short, elasticated cuff allows for quick donning and seamlessly integrates under the bottom edge of a jacket or shell, preventing cold from entering the wrists.
